Zhenghe, Fujian
800–860 metres. Forest, bamboo and open slope around the plot.
Organic fertiliser; no pesticides.
Mostly Meizhan (梅占), with a little Cai Cha (菜茶). Propagated from cuttings; the bushes are about 10–15 years old.
The same maker, a different plot — close enough to walk between, different enough to taste. He treats each one on its own terms.
Picking runs from about 15 April to 5 May, single buds only. The buds are withered in the sun and then worked in the traditional way. A normal year gives about 45 kg.
In 2026 the buds were slimmer than usual, with more sweetness and aroma than in previous years.

Every harvest is recorded here, whether or not it is selected. Tea is offered only when a harvest meets our standard. The place and the maker remain independent.
One place, observed over time.
