Returning to the same places. Working with the same people. Observing before acting.
Tea is not something that can be understood quickly. It requires time, repetition, and attention to small differences.
What matters is rarely written down
- how leaves respond to weather
- how soil holds water
- how timing changes everything
- how people make decisions in practice
Quality cannot be separated from
- landscape
- labour
- rhythm
- relationship
For now, this means learning. Returning, rather than moving on. Staying with fewer places, longer.
